Tailored Training Services provides all Certifiable Trainings for Child Care Agencies, Independent Providers and Day Care Providers for Hamilton, Butler and Clermont Counties and surrounding counties in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.

CPR & First Aid

Invented in 1960, CPR is a simple but effective procedure for Adults, Children and Infants that allows almost anyone to sustain life in the first critical minutes of cardiac arrest. CPR provides oxygenated blood to the brain and the heart long enough to keep vital organs alive until emergency assistance arrives.

To make learning CPR & First Aid easier, a system was devised that makes remembering it as simple as A-B-C:

  • Airway
  • Breathing
  • Circulation

Medication Administration Classes I, II, and III

These courses are taught by trained Registered Nurses who teach disabled personnel how to administer medication and the documentation procedure when administering oral, eye, ear, topical and nasal medications. Training is also provided on how to perform health related activities. Medication Administration II provides training in how to administer and document administering, feedings and medication through G/I tubes. Medication Administration III teaches the signs, symptoms and management of diabetes. Administering and documentation of administering subcutaneous insulin injections.

Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Certified.

Health & Safety

This course is designed to help staff understand what good health and safety practice is all about. The course will also give a basic introduction into legal requirements and some of the typical hazards staff may encounter in the workplace. Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Certified. This Health and Safety Induction course will help staff to understand:

  • The Reasons for Health and Safety
  • Employees Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Legislation and Guidance

Child Abuse & Neglect

This course offers basic instruction for staff to help them understand the typical profiles of child abusers and the definitions of various forms and aspects of neglect and abuse. Consequences of not reporting suspected neglect or child abuse of any form may be punishable by civil or criminal liabilities. Who is required to report child abuse, as well as, the guidelines and protocols for reporting are addressed in these lessons.

Six hour initial training and three hour refresher training requirement by Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Training: valid for three years.

Common Childhood Illnesses / Communicable Diseases

The purpose of Communicable Diseases Training is to educate staff on the various types of communicable diseases and precautions to protect staff and individuals receiving supports from contracting and/or spreading potential infectious diseases. Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Certified. The training will enable staff to:

  • State the rationale for and definition of standard (universal) precautions
  • Identify various aspects of communicable diseases
  • Understand the disease causing organisms and how they spread
  • Identify preventable diseases and related immunizations
  • Demonstrate proper hand washing procedures
  • Identify the proper notification procedures for various communicable diseases
  • Six hour initial training and three hour refresher training requirement by The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Training: valid for three years
  • In-Service Forms provided for completed trainings
